Connect your AI

Let Claude, Codex or Cursor read your app's numbers, send pushes and change your app's design over the air. Setup, what it can do, and the limits.

Updated October 2, 2026

Connect your own AI assistant to StoreToNative and talk to your app: “how did my app do this week?”, “send a push to shoppers with a cart”, “make my colours match my new logo”. It is on the Pro and Agency plans, at no extra cost, and it uses your own AI, so nothing is metered.

Connect Claude.ai (no key needed)

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Press + and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste https://api.storetonative.com/v1/api/mcp as the address and press Add.
  3. Press Connect. Sign in with your StoreToNative account and press Approve.
  4. In a chat, press +, then Connectors, and turn StoreToNative on. Then ask it to list your StoreToNative apps.

You can also copy the address from the Connect your AI card on Webhooks & API. The AI app can only do what your own role can do. On the Approve page you see the name of the app before you press Approve. Press Deny if you do not know it.

Connect with an API key

Use this for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other tools that take a key.

  1. Open Webhooks & API under Developer and create an API key in API keys. Pick one app as its scope if you want the AI kept to that app.
  2. Copy the setup for your AI tool from the Connect your AI card on the same page.
  3. Ask your AI to “list my StoreToNative apps” to check it works.

In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http storetonative https://api.storetonative.com/v1/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Check it with claude mcp list. It should say Connected.

In Codex, add this to ~/.codex/config.toml and set STORETONATIVE_KEY to your key in your shell:

[mcp_servers.storetonative]
url = "https://api.storetonative.com/v1/api/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "STORETONATIVE_KEY"

Restart Codex, then check it with codex mcp list.

In Cursor, add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in one project) and put your key in place of YOUR_KEY. Do not share or commit a project file that has your key in it:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "storetonative": {
      "url": "https://api.storetonative.com/v1/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

In Cursor, open Customize and make sure storetonative is on.

In other apps that support MCP, add a remote server with the address https://api.storetonative.com/v1/api/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY.

What your AI can do

Ask for What happens
Numbers Revenue, orders, installs, top products and carts sitting abandoned, for 7, 30 or 90 days, plus recent orders and your weekly brief.
Push notifications Write and send a push, or schedule one, to everyone or to one of your audiences. Your AI shows the reach and asks before sending. It can cancel a scheduled push that has not gone out yet.
Push results See how each push did: when it went out, how many devices it was sent to and how many times it was opened. See which scheduled pushes were not sent, and why.
Products and categories Find your products and categories by name, so your AI puts the right ones on your home screen.
Design Theme, colours, home sections, bottom bar, first-run slides, category tabs, contact and legal links.
Add-ons and automations Turn add-ons and the thank-you, win-back and VIP pushes on or off.
Store problems Check the store connection, start a sync, and open a support ticket with what it found.
Launch See what still blocks the App Store and Google Play, and make a code for the StoreToNative Preview app.

Your AI also has eight guided workflows in its prompt menu: Weekly review, Plan a sale, Launch checklist, Fix my store connection, Launch a new product, Plan the next sales dates, Win back quiet shoppers and Monthly client report (Agency plan). It can read these help pages too.

When your AI changes something you can see on the phone (colours, fonts and card style, the home screen, navigation, first-run slides or category tabs), it gives you a link to a live preview of your app. The link works for up to 30 days. It is a preview: your shoppers see the change after they restart the app twice. Changes to add-ons, automations and contact and legal links do not come with a preview link.

You can ask your AI to show you a change before it is saved. For a change you can see on the phone, it gives you a draft link. A draft changes nothing in your app. A draft link works for up to 24 hours. Your AI app may ask for your approval twice: once to make the draft and once to save the change. Sending a push cannot be tried first.

Every change your AI makes to your app’s design and settings is kept with its before and after. You see them in App Builder → History, and one press on Revert puts a change back. You can also ask your AI to undo its last change. If that part of your app was changed again later, the revert is refused and nothing is changed. The last 50 changes per app are kept. A push that was sent cannot be undone.

Design changes reach installed apps over the air, with no rebuild: the app downloads the change at its next launch and shows it at the launch after. Publishing, billing, your team, your keys and store credentials stay in the console.

Things to ask

After you connect, you can ask in your own words. These work well:

  • “How did my app do this week?”
  • “Help me plan a weekend sale in my app.”
  • “I have a new product. Feature it in my app and draft a push for it.”
  • “Plan my app for the next sales dates.”
  • “Set up an automatic push for shoppers who went quiet.”
  • “What still blocks my app from the App Store and Google Play?”
  • “Check my store connection and tell me what is wrong.”
  • “Make this month’s report for my client.” (Agency plan)

Your AI never invents a price, a date or an offer. It shows you a design change as a draft first, and it shows you who gets a push before it sends one.

A review every Monday

Some AI apps can run a request on a schedule. In Claude, ask: “Every Monday at 9, review how my StoreToNative app did last week.” Scheduled tasks need a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). We have not verified yet that a scheduled run works without you being there. If it does not, ask the same question yourself on Monday: the answer is the same.

Privacy and limits

  • Your AI never sees your shoppers’ names, emails, addresses or order details. About shoppers it sees counts and totals only. It can read your product and category catalogue.
  • What your AI reads is handled under your AI provider’s terms.
  • Every change your AI makes is saved in your workspace’s activity log. Changes to your app’s design and settings can be undone in App Builder → History.
  • Up to 120 app changes a day per key, 60 draft links a day per key, 6 store syncs a day per app and 5 support tickets a day per key. Pushes keep the usual limit of 60 an hour.
  • Revoke the key in API keys to disconnect a tool that uses a key at once.

Disconnect

Apps you connected with Approve are listed in Settings under Connected AI apps. Press Disconnect next to one. It stops working at once, and you can connect it again any time.

Each app shows when you connected it and when it was last active. “Last active” is when the app last renewed its sign-in, so it can be a little behind its latest request.

These also disconnect your AI apps:

  • Sign out other devices in the Sign-in security card on the Account & security page.
  • Changing your password with Sign out other devices ticked. It is ticked by default.
  • A password reset.

Signing out of the console does not disconnect your AI app. Sign out other devices and a password reset do.
