The WooCommerce tab

Catalog sync, category names and visibility, connection health, the companion plugin card, and changing the connected store.

Updated September 18, 2026

Open App Builder → WooCommerce. This tab is where the app meets your store.

Store card

The header shows your store domain and a badge: Connected, Connecting… or Not connected, plus Demo for the built-in demo store. Beneath it: the product count and when the last sync ran, or a live progress bar while one runs.

  • Auto-sync. When on, product and order changes in WooCommerce reach the app on their own: a webhook fires when a product changes, and the catalog re-syncs.
  • Sync now. Runs a full catalog sync immediately.
  • Connect via wp-admin. Shown only when the app has no access keys yet. Opens WooCommerce’s approval page.
  • Change store. Points the app at a different WooCommerce address, optionally with new keys, and re-syncs. Available to admins and owners.

If a sync fails, the message names the cause: the store has more products than your allowance (contact us to raise it), a page of products was too large, the store timed out, the app is not connected yet, or your store address now redirects to a different domain, in which case press Change store and enter the new address.

Categories in the app

Each WooCommerce category becomes a tab or a tile in the app. The table has four columns: Category in WooCommerce, Name in the app, Products, Shown.

  • Rename a category for the app without touching WooCommerce, up to 40 characters.
  • Hide a category from the app with the Shown switch.
  • New categories found by a sync are shown by default. Your renames and hidden categories survive every later sync.

To put a category in the bottom bar, go to Design studio → Branding → Bottom tabs.

Products that are both virtual and downloadable are excluded from the app, because the stores do not allow selling digital goods outside their own in-app purchase systems.

Connection health

Three rows, each OK or Action needed:

  • REST API keys. Read/write authorised, demo mode, waiting for your approval in wp-admin, or keys pending.
  • Webhooks. Registered on your store automatically after the first sync, for order created, order updated, product updated and product deleted. Delivering once they have fired.
  • Catalog sync. OK, Failing, Syncing, Never synced, or Waiting for keys.

Companion plugin

The plugin card shows Paired, Detected (installed but not paired) or Not detected, the plugin version and when it last checked in, and which features that version supports. Finish pairing issues a 15-minute code. Unpair plugin disconnects it; catalog sync keeps running on the keys you have, and the plugin notices on its next check-in. The store readiness verdicts from the plugin appear here too. See The WordPress plugin.

Demo stores

On a demo store, Place test order sends a real signed order webhook through the same path a live store uses, so you can see the notification bell and the order-status push work. It needs webhooks to be registered first.
